We do not collect sensitive categories (e.g., health, financial, authentication secrets) and we do not require account sign-in.

3) Android Permissions We Use & Why

  • INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to browse sites, detect downloadable media, and show ads (where applicable).
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (or scoped storage equivalents) — to save videos to your device and let you manage them. On Android 10+, we use scoped storage where possible.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) — optional; to notify you when downloads complete.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE — to keep downloads running reliably in the background.

We request only the minimum permissions needed for core features and ask at runtime where required.

4) How We Use Information

  • Provide and improve app features (download manager, file organizer, in-app browser detection).
  • Maintain safety, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
  • Measure performance and quality; understand crashes and errors.
  • Show ads (if enabled) and limit ad frequency; comply with legal obligations.

Sora Video Saver does not support downloading content from YouTube or other platforms where this is prohibited. Please only download content you have rights to use.

  • Deletion — You can request deletion of your data (see “Delete My Data” below). You may also uninstall the app to stop further data collection.

  • GDPR — If you are in the EEA/UK, you have additional rights under GDPR. Our legal bases include: legitimate interests (app operations, security), consent (personalized ads, notifications), and legal obligations.
